Grooming Schedule & Needs

How often does my dog need to be Professionally groomed?

How often a dog is groomed depends on a number of factors.  On an average, dogs should be groomed every six to eight weeks.  If you prefer not to be burdened with daily brushing, your dog should be groomed more often, and
keeping the coat very short to minimize matting is usually best.  If you like to keep your dog's coat trimmed short, you may be able to get away with more time between professional grooming sessions.  It also depends on your dog's breed, coat type, skin and how much time it spends outside.  Another big consideration is your own personal tolerance for the fragrance of nature.  If you have any doubt as to how often your pet should be groomed, give us a call and we'll help you determine the right time range for your pet.
